This is my storyboard for my documentary. I have changed one of the topics from music and subcultures to the evolution of phones because it was too similar to my other topic of CDs and DVDs, and the evolution of phones has impacted my generation quite heavily.

This shows how much social media and the internet and also phones have evolved to help people make films and documentaries with just their phones.

Generic research: timeline of documentary history

This website contains a timeline of important events contributing to documentary as it is today. Extremely important names and events influencing the advancement of documentary are noted here, such as Robert Flaherty's 'Nanook of the North', and John Grierson's coining of the term documentary. I also find it interesting that documentaries originated from still pictures edited together.
